Arrupe Jesuit High School

Creative Direction + Custom Apparel Design + Illustration + Production

Some jerseys are made to last a season. These were made for one night.

Objective

Every year, Arrupe Jesuit High School celebrates its seniors before the final home match of the season. Rather than designing another version of the team’s match jersey, we created something that marked the occasion. A jersey players would be excited to wear for their final home game and proud to keep long after graduation.

Discovery & Strategy

Arrupe is anything but a typical high school. Its mission is to prepare students for life beyond graduation, and that same philosophy shaped the soccer program under longtime head coach Mark Ladd.

Together, we turned Senior Night into more than a celebration of a season. For many players, it marked the end of their soccer careers and the beginning of something bigger. Instead of following the familiar look of high school athletics, the jerseys embraced the Mexican American heritage of the Arrupe community and celebrated what made these players unique.

Direction & Development

No two Senior Night jerseys are the same, but they all share a common thread.

The Arrupe spirit is a warrior spirit. Starting with the Generals’ bulldog mascot, each concept reimagines the school’s identity through the geometric forms and symbolism of Indigenous Mesoamerican art. What began as a single custom jersey has grown into a tradition the Arrupe community looks forward to every season, with each new design adding another chapter while honoring the ones that came before it.
